I’m Gulnaz Turdalieva, a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Windsor, Canada. My creative practice explores the quiet intensity of memory, emotion, and the human experience. Through acrylic painting, mixed media, photography, and illustration, I create work that invites reflection and emotional connection — offering visual stories that are both deeply personal and universally resonant.
With a background in diverse artistic disciplines, I’m drawn to abstraction, symbolism, and texture — layering colour and material to create spaces where the past and present coexist. My paintings evoke calm, nostalgia, and wonder — using colour not only to express but to heal.
Whether I’m painting, illustrating intricate colouring pages, or capturing surreal moments through the lens, my goal is the same: to create art that opens a window into beauty and feeling.
I believe art can be meditative — a quiet space where both artist and viewer find meaning.
Artist Statement:
I am a visual artist who paints memories and emotion into visual narratives. Through semi-abstract and abstract work in acrylic and mixed media, I explore personal memories and reflect on their connection to universal experience. Guided by feeling rather than form, I invite viewers to pause, connect, and find their own stories within the layers of colour and gesture.
My Creative Pillars
Fine Art — Acrylic and mixed media works that explore memory and emotional landscapes through colour and texture.
Illustration & Colouring Art — Detailed line work and expressive illustrations that blend fine art sensitivity with everyday storytelling.
Photography — Capturing moments, memories, and the beauty of the world through the lens.
